The Instructional Designer will be responsible for editing and creating digital English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum within the Kiddom platform, along with developing additional educational resources. This role ensures that both teacher- and student-facing materials are optimized for digital delivery and reports directly to the Head of Curriculum.
We are seeking a candidate with experience in K–12 ELA instruction, instructional design, and project management, who thrives in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities include:
– Creating and editing interactive question types using the Kiddom platform
– Designing and implementing standards for instructional and visual design of ELA lesson presentations
– Developing and refining supplemental resources aligned with existing ELA curriculum
– Reviewing content and offering quality assurance feedback to external contractors
– Aligning ELA content with state and national standards to create engaging, student-centered learning experiences
Qualifications:
– 3–5 years of K–12 ELA teaching experience (preferably upper elementary or secondary)
– At least 3 years of instructional design experience focused on ELA and digital learning
– Strong knowledge of ELA standards such as Common Core or state-specific guidelines
– Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
– A passion for educational equity and a deep understanding of the needs of teachers and students
– Proficiency in using generative AI tools to support instructional design and content creation
– Experience with project management tools like JIRA and Monday.com for tracking progress and collaboration
– Skilled in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive) for curriculum and project documentation
Salary Range: $60,000 – $85,000 annually
Compensation is based on location, experience, seniority, and demonstrated skills during the interview process.
