The Cloud Architect plays a key role in shaping the cloud architecture for our managed services, ensuring security best practices and enhancing operational efficiency. This role involves close collaboration with Solution and Software Architects, Security, Product Management, and Operations teams to design, implement, test, deploy, secure, and automate infrastructure services for our SaaS solutions on Azure and AWS. The Cloud Architect will also help define and document standardized infrastructure patterns and best practices.

Responsibilities:

– Design and implement a multi-tenant cloud strategy for Managed Services.
– Create cloud reference architectures for various deployment models.
– Define architectural principles and standard specifications.
– Evaluate, implement, and document security solutions to meet compliance needs.
– Collaborate with Security Operations to establish cloud security best practices.
– Develop baseline standards for cloud, container, and application security.
– Implement cost and usage tracking for cloud services.
– Maintain documentation for cloud security systems and procedures.
– Lead proof-of-concept initiatives and evaluate new technologies.
– Produce comprehensive documentation including designs, diagrams, and transition materials.
– Act as a subject matter expert throughout project lifecycles.
– Deliver executive-level presentations on technology strategy and alignment.
– Promote cloud vision, strategy, and best practices across the organization.
– Provide guidance on multi-cloud strategies.
– Work with Operations to remove technical barriers and improve efficiency.

Requirements:

– 7+ years of experience as a Cloud or Solutions Architect with expertise in cloud security (IaaS/PaaS/SaaS).
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems engineering, or a related field.
– At least 5 years of experience identifying security risks and developing mitigation plans, with a strong understanding of cloud security threats.
– In-depth knowledge of major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and interconnect/colocation centers.
– Strong background in application architecture and cloud migration/refactoring.
– Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both executives and technical teams.
– Certified in one or more major cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Security Certification).
– Extensive experience securing systems, networks, databases, and applications.
– Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, ISO, HITRUST) and their design implications.
– Experience with security tools such as antivirus, IDS/IPS, WAFs, NSG, and firewalls.
– Proficient in networking and security concepts.
– Advanced knowledge of cloud services (databases, containers, compute, storage, serverless).
– Experience optimizing database performance (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, MongoDB, ElasticSearch).
– Familiarity with identity protocols (PIM, OAuth/OpenID) and threat modeling.
– Understanding of data center architecture, including routing, switching, firewalls, virtualization, and storage.
– Customer-focused and responsive.

– Trusted advisor with strong technical vision and judgment in multi-cloud and hybrid IT environments.

– Experience designing and deploying AI/ML services on cloud platforms.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
– Strong interpersonal and networking abilities.

Salary: $135,000 – $155,000 per year
