As a Business Compliance Specialist in Asset Governance at Binance, you will play a key role in managing financial crime risks and ensuring regulatory compliance throughout the token listing and delisting process. You will collaborate with teams across product, legal, compliance, and risk to maintain Binance’s high regulatory and industry standards in the rapidly evolving crypto space.

Responsibilities:

– Oversee compliance for all assets listed on Binance, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulations.
– Develop and maintain asset governance policies and procedures that reflect global regulatory standards and Binance’s risk framework, and ensure they are well communicated and implemented.
– Collaborate with product, legal, compliance, risk, and regional MLROs to embed compliance controls into token lifecycle management and product features, supporting timely and compliant launches and updates.
– Track global regulatory changes affecting asset governance and crypto compliance, and provide training and guidance to ensure business units stay informed and compliant.
– Monitor privacy-focused coins on the platform, maintain usage records, evaluate AML risks, and advise on risk mitigation strategies.
– Regularly review and update internal definitions of privacy coins in line with global regulatory expectations.
– Ensure adequate transaction monitoring for listed assets and coordinate with relevant teams to address any gaps.
– Support investigations into suspicious token-related activities and liaise with internal teams, regulators, and law enforcement when needed.
– Foster strong working relationships with internal departments and external partners to support a culture of compliance and resolve issues efficiently.
– Help improve compliance tools, frameworks, and automation to streamline token governance processes.

Requirements:

– At least 5 years of experience in financial services compliance, ideally within crypto, fintech, broker-dealer, or asset management sectors.
– Strong knowledge of financial crime prevention, including AML, sanctions, fraud, and market abuse.
– In-depth understanding of tokenomics, crypto asset classifications, and blockchain technology.
– Experience with token listing/delisting or similar product governance processes is highly preferred.
– Current knowledge of global regulatory trends related to crypto assets and digital tokens.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex risks and propose practical compliance solutions.
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and regions.
