About the Role:

We’re seeking a temporary Senior UX Designer who excels at turning complex enterprise systems and data into intuitive, visually appealing user experiences. You’ll be the go-to expert for Visual Design and Data Visualization, helping users easily interpret and act on operational, financial, and enrollment data to support meaningful outcomes.

This is a 12-month temporary position, with the possibility of extension depending on performance and business needs. Compensation ranges from $80 to $140 per hour, based on experience.

Responsibilities:

– Lead the design and strategy for data-intensive features such as admin dashboards, reports, and visualizations (charts, graphs, tables).
– Convert complex financial and operational data (e.g., HRA usage, enrollment data) into clear visuals that drive user decisions.
– Collaborate with engineering and data science teams to ensure designs are feasible and accurate.
– Build and manage a reusable data visualization component library in the Figma design system.
– Define and track UX success metrics like time-to-insight and reduced support requests.
– Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards, especially for color contrast and screen reader compatibility.
– Regularly present and review designs with internal stakeholders to ensure data accuracy.

Qualifications:

– 5+ years of UX design experience with a strong portfolio in data visualization, analytics dashboards, and complex reporting tools.
– Deep understanding of information design and the ability to select appropriate visual formats based on data and user needs.
– Proven track record of defining and measuring UX KPIs related to data comprehension.
– Proficient in Figma and experienced in contributing to or managing a UI design system with data components.
– Background in data-focused industries like Fintech, B2B SaaS, or Healthcare.

Bonus Points:

– Experience collaborating with data science teams or designing interactive data filters and query tools.
– Knowledge of visual design best practices for data-heavy interfaces.
– Experience in healthcare or financial services.
