About the Role

As a Barista at Blue Bottle, you’ll be someone who loves coffee, food, sustainability, and delivering exceptional guest experiences with care and respect. Join us to grow professionally and help build a welcoming community through coffee.

What You’ll Do:

– Provide outstanding hospitality to guests, teammates, and partners
– Craft and serve a variety of high-quality beverages using different brewing methods
– Prepare and serve delicious food items
– Stay informed about our current menu and preparation techniques through tastings and training
– Regularly taste our beverages to maintain quality and refine your palate
– Foster community by sharing your coffee knowledge and enthusiasm with guests and teammates
– Contribute to daily operations by performing tasks such as cleaning, dishwashing, organizing, and trash removal
– Support our sustainability initiatives
– Follow all health and safety regulations
– Help maintain a respectful and safe work environment
– Complete Blue Bottle Academy training and a 90-day post-hire validation

What You Bring:

– A valid Food Handler’s Certification for your state (or willing to obtain within 30 days of hire)
– Basic math and computer skills
– A flexible schedule, including availability on mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:

– Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
– Use of hands for precision tasks like brewing and operating registers
– Ability to bend, squat, twist, and reach for items
– Capable of lifting or moving up to 50 pounds
– May need to climb stairs, ladders, or uneven surfaces
– Ability to taste and smell for quality control
– Strong listening and speaking skills for guest interaction

Compensation:

– $17.20 per hour plus tips
