About the Role
As a Barista at Blue Bottle, you’ll be someone who cares deeply about coffee, food, sustainability, and delivering outstanding guest experiences. Join us to grow your skills and build community through coffee.
What You’ll Do:
– Provide warm, welcoming service to guests, teammates, and partners
– Craft and serve a variety of high-quality beverages using different brewing methods
– Prepare and serve delicious food items
– Stay informed about our current menu and preparation methods through tastings and training
– Regularly taste our drinks to ensure quality and refine your palate
– Share your coffee knowledge with guests and inspire your team
– Help maintain a clean and organized café, including tasks like dishwashing, sweeping, and trash removal
– Support our sustainability efforts
– Follow all health and safety regulations
– Foster a respectful and safe work environment
– Complete our training program and 90-day post-hire validation
Who You Are:

– At least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
What You Bring:
– A valid Food Handler’s Certificate (or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire)
– Basic math and computer skills
– Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements:
– Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
– Manual dexterity for operating espresso machines and registers
– Ability to bend, reach, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
– Comfortable using ladders or stairs when needed
– Ability to taste and smell for quality control
– Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
Compensation:
– $17.20 per hour plus tips
