Job Description

We are open to fully remote work within the United States. The ideal candidate will be based in the U.S. and work Eastern Standard Time hours. Occasional quarterly travel to the Metro DMV area may be required.

ICF’s Digital Modernization Division is a fast-growing, innovative technology team seeking a Salesforce Architect. We specialize in supporting agency missions and business transformations through leading low-code platforms, mobile apps, robotic process automation, and data analytics. Our partners include top technology companies such as Salesforce, ServiceNow, Appian, Microsoft, and UiPath. We deliver comprehensive services including architecture and planning, system implementation, integration, analytics, and operations and maintenance.

We are looking for a Salesforce Architect to support federal projects. This role involves designing and developing solutions aligned with client business and technical needs, setting technology and security standards, and managing change processes for large federal agencies. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience across the full software development lifecycle and a background in establishing Centers of Excellence, including governance, multi-org strategies, and DevOps/CI/CD (Azure) practices. Experience in technical architecture and program oversight is essential, along with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

The FDA Digital Services Center (DSC) provides platform-as-a-service (PaaS) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions to the FDA, focusing on delivering high-quality, modern software and hosted services. The DSC collaborates with multiple vendors and follows industry best practices to support both operations and maintenance (O&M) and development and modernization (DM&E) efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

– Hands-on experience with Lightning components, VisualForce, Salesforce configuration, Apex, APIs, reports, dashboards, and AppExchange deployments
– Define system architecture, identify gaps, and deliver robust solutions
– Lead implementation and delivery of technical architecture, including org strategy, migration, and application design
– Collaborate with enterprise architecture teams to define development and security standards
– Develop change and release management processes using DevOps and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Bitbucket/GitHub, Eclipse IDE)
– Define and integrate agile development lifecycle with existing systems
– Provide guidance on Salesforce-related master data management
– Recommend strategies for source code and system integration
– Mentor and lead junior team members

Required Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree
– 5+ years of Salesforce (SFDC) implementation experience
– 5+ years of software development and system design experience
– 5+ years as a Salesforce Technical Architect, including experience with Service Cloud, Einstein Analytics, Community Cloud, and Marketing Cloud
– 5+ years of experience with data migration, SSO, and web services on the Salesforce platform
– U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required due to federal contract requirements
– Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
– Must reside and work within the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

– Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect
– Experience with platform features like Workflow, Chatter, and Knowledge
– Integration experience with third-party tools such as SpringCM, eSignLive, and Vlocity
– Experience with Mulesoft and APIs for Salesforce integration
– Prior experience on federal Salesforce projects

Compensation:

Final pay is determined based on various factors including experience, skills, certifications, location, and contract requirements. The salary range for this full-time remote position is:

$118,730.00 – $201,840.00 per year.
