Lendbuzz is growing its Cloud and Infrastructure department in Tel Aviv, and we are looking for a Backend Team Lead with a strong backend background to help us scale, boost productivity, and enhance our cloud-based platform.

This position blends technical leadership, hands-on backend development, and responsibility for cloud-native architecture in a fast-paced fintech environment.

What you will do:
• Lead and mentor engineers within the Cloud department
• Take ownership of cloud architecture, backend services, and distributed systems
• Design and implement scalable, secure, production-ready cloud solutions
• Work with containerized environments such as Docker, ECS, and Kubernetes
• Develop backend components and internal tools using Python or TypeScript
• Drive CI/CD, automation, and Infrastructure as Code best practices
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system architecture and integrations
• Ensure high availability, observability, and system reliability

Requirements:
• BSc in Computer Science (required)
• 5+ years of hands-on backend development experience (Python preferred)
• Strong background in system design and architecture
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with microservices
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or similar
• Practical experience with Docker or containerized workloads
• Experience building APIs and backend infrastructure
• Strong communication skills in both Hebrew and English
