As a Junior DevOps Engineer, you’ll contribute to our mission by helping deliver software features and fixes to customers quickly and reliably. You’ll support and enhance our cloud‑native infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools while helping integrate development and operations practices that promote teamwork and efficiency throughout the software development lifecycle.
In this role, you will:
• Learn and assist in improving the design, implementation, and management of our CI/CD pipelines, helping automate build, test, and deployment processes to speed up software delivery.
• Work closely with developers to shape and improve source code branching and release strategies, encouraging strong version control and release practices.
• Learn how to monitor and evaluate the health and performance of our cloud infrastructure and identify ways to improve scalability and efficiency.
• Help implement effective monitoring tools to detect and address issues quickly, reducing downtime and ensuring strong application performance.
• Support the design and evolution of our cloud architecture using leading tools and methods to build secure, scalable, and resilient systems.
• Encourage the adoption of modern cloud‑native technologies, such as containers, to improve flexibility and agility in development.
• Act as a bridge between support, development, and other teams to ensure alignment on infrastructure needs and priorities.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, helping teammates make the most of automation and self‑service tools.
• Receive mentorship from senior DevOps team members to support your growth and success.
• Help maintain a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive team environment.
• Model our organization’s values and culture, inspiring others to perform at their best.
This role requires:
• A bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent technical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience managing Windows and Linux operating systems, gained through work, internships, home labs, or certifications.
• Basic experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP also acceptable).
• Demonstrated understanding of automation, cloud engineering, and DevOps principles.
• Proven troubleshooting skills for systems and applications.
• Experience with one or more scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Knowledge of version control concepts and workflows (Git required; GitHub or Azure DevOps a plus).
• Familiarity with containers and containerization tools.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
• Awareness of modern CI/CD practices and tools.
• Understanding of logging and monitoring basics, including metrics vs. logs and system observability.
• Exposure to relational databases (SQL preferred) and NoSQL systems such as MongoDB or Redis.
• A willingness to ask questions early, learn rapidly, and follow structured guidance.
• Strong self‑motivation and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting, listening, and problem‑solving abilities.
• A proven ability to resolve complex issues.
• A customer‑focused mindset.
