About the Role
We’re looking for a committed Senior QA Analyst to join our growing QA team. In this position, you’ll be essential in ensuring the quality of our Android and iOS apps, improving processes, and setting new standards for QA across the company. You’ll work closely with cross-functional partners to deliver a seamless user experience. At Hinge, you’ll have opportunities to innovate, develop new skills, and advance your career as you help shape the team and the product.

Responsibilities
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated scripts based on product requirements and technical specs, and build a robust automation strategy for the Hinge app.
• Lead the creation and execution of automated tests—including functional, regression, integration, and performance—to ensure fast, repeatable, and reliable testing.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and UX designers to identify which features should be prioritized for automation.
• Provide technical insight on requirements and user stories and champion automation that expands coverage and reduces manual effort.
• Work with engineering teams to embed automated regression tests into defect workflows for long-term quality improvements.
• Incorporate user-reported issues into automated regression suites and establish metrics for evaluating app stability and reliability.
• Build automated tests that reflect real user behavior based on feedback.
• Clearly share automation updates, results, and learnings in ceremonies such as stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Promote best practices in automation and help educate team members.
• Continuously refine the automation framework and testing methods to increase efficiency and product quality.
• Stay current on new automation tools and trends and recommend modern solutions that improve testing and user experience.

What We’re Looking For
• At least 5 years of QA experience, including 3+ years focused on mobile test automation in a fast-paced Agile environment.
• Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks with tools like Appium, Espresso, or XCUITest.
• Ability to write reliable, scalable test scripts in Java, Kotlin, or Swift and integrate them into CI pipelines such as Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Deep understanding of the SDLC and modern testing practices with a proven ability to identify and prioritize critical defects.
• Expertise in designing, running, and automating test cases to ensure quality throughout the development cycle.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex issues and propose creative solutions.
• Experience applying data-driven techniques to strengthen coverage and product quality.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly to any audience.
• Experience preparing detailed test documentation, reports, and dashboards.
• A strong commitment to delivering high-quality products and maintaining app performance and reliability.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
• Solid experience testing both Android and iOS apps and developing cross-platform testing strategies.
• Bonus: Experience with AI-driven automation tools for machine-learning-assisted testing and defect detection.
• Bonus: Experience building an automation framework from the ground up, including CI/CD integration.

Compensation
