We are looking for a proactive and strategic Associate Director of Procurement and ESG to oversee procurement operations while embedding sustainability initiatives throughout the company. This position plays a key role in improving cost efficiency, enhancing vendor partnerships, and ensuring procurement practices align with both business objectives and sustainability goals. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership in procurement, vendor management, cost control, and operational excellence, along with solid knowledge of ESG priorities in a fast‑moving environment.

Procurement Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of a company-wide procurement strategy that supports growth, efficiency, and cost savings. Ensure a consistent, compliant, and scalable procurement process across all teams.
• Use spending data and market insights to identify savings opportunities, minimize pricing risk, and drive ongoing cost optimization. Implement risk management practices to secure supply continuity and meet regulatory standards. Partner with Finance, Accounting, and business leaders during monthly meetings to review renewals, forecast savings, and assess budget impacts.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to secure favorable terms, high-quality service, and innovative collaboration. Lead major contract negotiations and identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements. Oversee supplier performance to build long-term value.
• Improve procurement processes through automation, technology, and best practices.
• Assess, implement, and refine procurement tools and ERP systems to improve efficiency, reporting, and overall performance.

ESG Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute ESG strategies that support company goals.
• Lead ESG initiatives and ensure they are integrated across business functions.
• Stay current on ESG developments and regulatory requirements to strengthen internal policies.
• Oversee ESG reporting, disclosures, and regulatory submissions such as TCFD, GRI, SASB, and CSRD.
• Ensure compliance with sustainability frameworks and maintain transparency through effective ESG KPIs.
• Work closely with internal partners including leadership, investors, and sustainability teams, and engage with regulators, NGOs, and ESG rating agencies.
• Represent the company in industry groups, panels, and conferences.
• Identify and address ESG risks in alignment with overall corporate risk management.
• Help build ESG governance structures and ensure executives and the board are updated on ESG priorities and regulatory changes.
• Drive sustainability efforts across operations, supply chains, and investments.
• Support climate risk evaluations, carbon reduction initiatives, and social impact programs.
• Partner with procurement and finance to integrate ESG considerations into business decisions.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or a related field; an MBA or certifications such as CPSM or CPP are a plus.
• At least 7 years of procurement experience, preferably in technology or high-growth environments.
• Expertise in vendor negotiations, strategic sourcing, contract management, and procurement strategy development.
• Proven record in improving procurement processes, delivering cost savings, and driving operational improvements.
• Strong understanding of how ESG principles apply to procurement.
• Proficiency with procurement tools and ERP systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive, or Oracle, and ESG platform Watershed; automation experience is an advantage. Familiarity with JIRA is preferred.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities with experience influencing senior leaders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience managing large budgets and complex procurement needs.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and high-quality standards.
• Commitment to integrity and ethical business conduct.
• Experience in ESG risk assessment and materiality analysis.
• Familiarity with ESG rating agencies and investor expectations.
• Background in climate strategy, carbon accounting, or social impact programs.
• Knowledge of sustainable finance and responsible investment principles.

Model N provides fair, competitive salary ranges based on experience, education, location, and other relevant factors. Roles may qualify for bonuses or commission plans depending on responsibilities.

The base salary for this position is $135,000 to $156,000. Applicants with salary expectations outside this range are encouraged to apply, as other openings may be available at different levels.
