Overview
The Associate, Marketing Technology is responsible for managing, organizing, and optimizing all marketing assets so they remain accurate and easy to access. This position maintains an up‑to‑date library and taxonomy of marketing content across multiple platforms, assesses how content is used, and applies a framework to retire outdated or unused materials.
Responsibilities
• Manage how digital assets are integrated and used across platforms and customer touchpoints to improve the user experience.
• Oversee the lifecycle of new and updated digital assets, including acquisition, metadata management, archiving, or removal.
• Record, organize, and store content to ensure it is properly cataloged and accessible to teams across the company.
• Build and maintain a structured digital repository where assets are categorized, tagged, and easy to locate.
• Maintain version control so the most current assets are always available.
• Partner with internal and external teams throughout the asset lifecycle.
• Create and enforce standards for naming conventions, metadata, and content rights to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Train and assist team members on digital asset management tools and best practices.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of asset organization, metadata, usage rights, governance, and brand guidelines, and ensure consistent application.
• Understand copyright laws and intellectual property rights related to digital content.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency in asset management and brand compliance.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities with strong organizational skills.
• Communicate effectively and work well with others.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support brand and asset management goals.
Qualifications / Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Digital Media, Library Science, Marketing, or a related field.
• Three to five years of experience in creative development, digital asset management, media management, or a similar administrative role.
• Proficiency with marketing platforms such as Adobe AEM, Accent, Eloqua, Brightcove, Sitecore, and Workfront.
Protective’s targeted salary range for this position is $62,000 to $80,000. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and experience. This range is only one part of Protective’s total compensation offering.
This role also includes additional incentive opportunities through an annual performance‑based bonus.
