About the role
As a Medical Writer within Avalere Health’s Medical team, you will produce high-quality content—including manuscripts, posters, abstracts, and slide decks—while meeting project guidelines, timelines, and budgets. You will be expected to rapidly understand and distill complex information from unfamiliar therapeutic areas to create impactful work under tight deadlines and defined scopes.

You will join the Scientific Services team, the core of Avalere Health’s Medical capability. In this collaborative environment, you will work closely with clients to navigate complex data, uncover meaningful insights, and partner with external experts to develop engaging strategies and solutions that ultimately improve patient outcomes.

What you’ll do
• Research, write, and edit high-quality, original content across various project types such as manuscripts, posters, abstracts, and slide presentations.
• Evaluate projects to identify where cross-team collaboration is needed, such as creative design or editorial support, and request assistance accordingly.
• Communicate confidently and professionally with clients, authors, speakers, and colleagues while effectively managing your projects.
• Manage multiple tasks simultaneously, organizing your time efficiently to meet deadlines across different project types.
• Collaborate with internal account teams to ensure timely and on-budget project delivery.

About you
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences; a master’s or PhD is beneficial but not required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong MS Office skills.
• Experience conducting internet and PubMed searches.
