About the role
The Senior Copywriter develops persuasive content that supports strategic communication goals for multichannel marketing campaigns. This role requires a creative, conceptual thinker who collaborates closely with project teams to meet client objectives.
Candidates should bring experience in pharmaceutical advertising or a related area. The Senior Copywriter will lead writing efforts across multiple brands and quickly adapt to new ones as needed. They must be able to incorporate feedback from internal teams, clients, and medical‑regulatory‑legal processes.
The role focuses on marketing, writing, and content management, with occasional participation in creative campaign concepting.
What you’ll do
• Work collaboratively with Designers, Associate Creative Directors, Project Managers, and other team members
• Produce compelling marketing copy that aligns with strategic direction and resonates with the target audience
• Demonstrate strong attention to detail, including copyediting, referencing, and proofreading
• Maintain adherence to brand style across copy and design
• Present creative work in internal and client meetings and contribute thoughtfully to critiques
• Support creative concepting and development for multichannel campaigns
• Communicate proactively with the team to keep deliverables on schedule
• Serve as the content guardian and track all copy changes throughout the creative process
• Follow the company’s creative process
• Help build, maintain, and refine copywriting best practices within the organization
About you
• Bachelor’s degree in English, journalism, communications, or a related field
• Experience in a pharmaceutical agency preferred
• 5+ years as a marketing copywriter, ideally in rare disease; pharma advertising experience required
• Strong creative and problem‑solving abilities within a highly regulated industry
• Digital portfolio including interactive work, long‑form content, and a campaign brought to life; pharmaceutical marketing samples required
• Experience partnering with designers and developers on responsive digital work
• Demonstrated mastery of English language style and mechanics
• Ability to assess problems, anticipate outcomes, and remove obstacles to ensure project success
$110,000–$115,000 per year
We offer competitive, fair compensation based on location, qualifications, and experience. Posted salary ranges reflect experience.
