Content and Communication Manager – Paytm Money

Role Overview
We are seeking a Content and Communication Manager who can make investing clear, relatable, and inspiring for millions of users across India.

This role combines storytelling, user engagement, and performance-focused content strategy to help people discover, understand, and act on their financial goals with Paytm Money.

You will oversee the entire content and communication landscape—from brand campaigns and app journeys to SEO-driven discovery and lifecycle marketing. As a player-coach, you will stay hands-on with writing, ideation, and strategy while guiding a strong team.

What You’ll Do

1. Lead the Consumer Communication Charter
• Develop a cohesive communication strategy that builds trust, clarity, and aspiration among retail investors.
• Turn business objectives into user-centric narratives and campaigns that improve awareness, education, activation, and retention.
• Establish and maintain Paytm Money’s brand voice—conversational, confident, and empowering—across all channels.
• Work closely with Product, Growth, Design, and Brand teams to deliver seamless and relevant communication at each touchpoint.

2. Create Content That Converts and Educates
• Produce content that simplifies investing across Mutual Funds, Equity, Gold, and MTF, helping users make informed decisions.
• Create content across formats including in-app messaging, blogs, videos, notifications, and newsletters.
• Launch creative content series and campaigns that drive engagement and build brand affinity.
• Balance creativity with performance to ensure every piece of communication drives awareness, activation, or retention.

3. Drive SEO-Led Content Growth
• Build and lead the SEO strategy to boost organic visibility and attract high-intent users.
• Develop keyword-driven content plans aligned with product releases and investor trends.
• Collaborate with tech and marketing teams to ensure all content is optimized for discovery and performance.
• Track and improve rankings, traffic, and conversions from organic channels.
• Use SEO insights to guide broader content planning and direction.

4. Strengthen Lifecycle Communication and Retention
• Lead CRM and lifecycle communication across email, WhatsApp, push notifications, and in-app channels.
• Develop personalized, behavior-based communication flows that enhance retention and reactivation.
• Use storytelling and education to deepen engagement and build long-term trust.

5. Manage, Mentor, and Collaborate
• Lead a team of writers and communication specialists while staying involved in key projects.
• Work with agencies, SEO partners, and internal design teams to maintain quality and consistency.
• Foster a culture of creativity, accountability, and measurable results.

6. Measure, Learn, and Optimize
• Define KPIs for each initiative, including engagement, CTR, retention impact, organic reach, and conversion.
• Use data to refine messaging, tone, and channel strategies.
• Build performance dashboards to ensure clarity and visibility on outcomes.

Who You Are
• 6–12 years of experience in consumer communication, content marketing, or brand strategy, ideally in fintech, BFSI, or consumer tech.
• A storyteller who transforms insights into compelling narratives that resonate emotionally and drive results.
• Strong background in SEO-driven content growth, including keyword research, analytics, and blog optimization.
• Excellent writing and editing abilities with a strong grasp of English and brand tone.
• Experience leading a small team or managing external partners while contributing individually.
• Familiarity with CRM and SEO tools such as CleverTap, MoEngage, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and Google Analytics.
• Curious, analytical, and deeply focused on the user journey.
