We are seeking a Data Analyst with solid experience in data migration, transformation, and process automation. In this role, you will analyze gaps between source data and target databases, define transformation and enrichment rules, and support the creation of a reliable, automated data import pipeline.
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that data coming mainly from CSV files is accurately transformed, loaded into our final databases using SQL, and kept consistent and dependable for the systems that rely on it.
What You Will Do
1. Data Gap and Requirements Analysis
Review existing data sources (primarily CSV files and source databases) along with target database structures.
Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and data quality issues.
Map fields between source and target systems, including complex mappings and business rules.
Document data definitions, flows, and dependencies.
2. Data Transformation, Enrichment, and Cleaning
Define and document rules for transformation, enrichment, validation, and handling missing data.
Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify business logic for derived fields.
Design and test transformation steps such as standardization, normalization, lookups, and reference data enrichment.
3. Data Import and Automation
Convert transformation rules into SQL import scripts and processes to load data into target databases.
Work with engineers to design or implement automated ETL/ELT pipelines for routine data loads.
Define and support consistency checks to ensure data reliability in downstream systems.
4. Data Quality and Consistency Assurance
Establish data validation rules, quality checks, and reconciliation reports (including counts, referential integrity checks, duplicates, and null validations).
Monitor data loads and identify root causes of ingestion issues.
Recommend improvements to schemas, processes, and tools to reduce manual effort and increase reliability.
5. Documentation and Collaboration
Create clear documentation for mappings, transformation rules, and automated processes.
Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to refine requirements and confirm results.
Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
