– The Summer Internship is expected to begin in May or June 2026 and run full-time (40 hours per week) on-site through August or September 2026, with the possibility of extending through December 2026.
– This position requires the selected candidate to work on-site at the Pittsburgh office.

You will:
– Work with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and research scientists using an AI‑first strategy to achieve scalable, safe self-driving.
– Support the design and analysis of mechanical systems and components.
– Conduct research and collect data to assist engineering projects.
– Produce and revise engineering drawings using CAD software.
– Participate in prototype testing and validation.
– Collaborate with teammates to identify and resolve engineering challenges.
– Document findings and contribute to engineering reviews.

Qualifications:
– Pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
– Proficient in SolidWorks.
– Basic understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
– Experience with manufacturing-oriented design such as sheet metal, injection molding, or stamping is an asset.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
– A collaborative, open-minded team player willing to support others.
– Passionate about autonomous vehicle technology, tackling complex problems, and developing innovative solutions.

The US hourly pay range for this position is $35–$44 USD, along with competitive perks. Waabi (US) Inc. determines salary ranges based on multiple factors aligned with its compensation practices, and this range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires across all US locations.
