Diamond Foundry Inc. is addressing the thermal challenges at the core of today’s most innovative technologies—AI and cloud computing, electric vehicle power electronics, and 5G/6G wireless. We’ve successfully created the world’s first single-crystal diamond wafers and are working toward integrating diamond into every chip. As a rare, fast-growing, and profitable unicorn company, we’ve secured $515 million in funding and are executing a multi-billion-dollar expansion plan focused on sustainable tech manufacturing—transforming greenhouse gases into diamond wafers using zero-emission energy.
We are looking for a highly experienced and driven Senior Process Engineer with specialized knowledge in Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) to lead the development, refinement, and scaling of advanced plasma-based manufacturing processes. In this hands-on, high-impact role, you will work to enhance process efficiency, long-term reliability, and product yield in a high-tech, data-centric production environment.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in process engineering, with proven skills in diagnosing complex systems, analyzing large datasets, and conducting root cause analysis. You’ll collaborate with teams across equipment engineering, materials science, product development, and operations to turn experimental data and research into reliable, scalable production processes.
This position requires both strategic thinking and strong execution capabilities. You’ll be responsible for refining current processes and introducing innovative improvements. Key responsibilities include leading process qualifications, designing and running DOE experiments, and ensuring consistent process performance at scale.
This is a unique opportunity to directly influence the advancement of cutting-edge CVD technology in a dynamic, collaborative environment where your contributions will be reflected in production results and product quality.
Responsibilities:
– Lead optimization efforts for plasma-based CVD manufacturing processes, focusing on throughput, stability, and quality.
– Analyze operational and experimental data to identify patterns, correlations, and root causes; use findings to improve process control and product performance.
– Design, execute, and monitor experiments (including DOE methodologies) to validate process improvements and support production scaling.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, equipment, quality, and product) to integrate new materials, tools, or techniques into production.
– Develop and maintain technical documentation such as process specifications, SOPs, and engineering change notices.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years, Master’s with 3+ years, or PhD with 1+ year of experience in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field, with a focus on process engineering—preferably involving CVD or similar technologies.
– Hands-on experience with complex plasma-based CVD equipment used in semiconductor manufacturing.
– Skilled in statistical analysis and data visualization tools (e.g., JMP, SQL, Tableau), with experience in DOE and SPC methodologies.
– Strong problem-solving abilities and experience working on cross-functional projects in a fast-paced production setting.
– A proactive attitude with a desire to learn, grow, and take on new challenges in a dynamic work environment.
Salary Range: $110,000 – $150,000 per year
