Business Systems Administrator – Finance/Accounting Systems
Overview:
This role serves as a bridge between business and technical teams to evaluate the scope, timeline, and impact of new requests, implement those requests, and provide ongoing support to ensure optimal use of financial systems.
The ideal candidate will have experience improving business processes, defining system requirements, and managing financial systems in areas such as Accounting, Order Fulfillment, Finance, SOX Compliance, Auditing, and Financial Reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
– Configure and maintain Finance & Accounting systems, implement minor enhancements, and coordinate testing. Responsibilities include managing custom fields, forms, records, workflows, scripts, reports, and user roles.
– Provide user support and manage access in a SOX-compliant environment.
– Offer guidance on Finance & Accounting best practices and advise business leaders on effective solutions.
– Analyze current business processes to identify areas for improvement.
– Design, develop, test, document, and deploy efficient business solutions using technical expertise.
– Maintain data integrity by organizing, cleaning, and eliminating duplicate data. Import and manage data within business systems using best practices.
– Develop process maps, data models, data flows, and user stories.
– Lead solution reviews and secure approvals from stakeholders at all levels.
– Communicate insights and plans effectively across teams and with leadership.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance from an accredited institution.
– Coursework or hands-on experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
– At least 3 years of experience as a business systems administrator or analyst, with expertise in financial systems and NetSuite.
– Familiarity with Salesforce, Blackline, Coupa, Avalara, FloQast, and Anaplan is a plus.
– Knowledge of SuiteQL and SuiteScript is advantageous.
– Experience in testing and quality assurance processes.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
– Experience supporting the configuration and rollout of new features or modules.
– Skilled in gathering and documenting requirements for system improvements.
– Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
– Experience working in Agile environments.
– Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in a SOX-regulated setting.

Compensation:
– Salary range: $96,800 to $142,000 (Offers typically fall below the top of the range and are based on experience and location.)
