Join Qonto’s AML team and help protect our 600,000 customers from financial crime while safeguarding the company’s reputation. You’ll be part of a 9-person team responsible for first-level AML detection, alert processing, and compliance, especially as we gear up for our relaunch in the Italian market.
As an AML Analyst, you’ll work closely with Alessandro Scandolara to maintain our 95% compliance rate and bring fresh ideas to a dynamic team.
Your responsibilities:
– Review transactions and documents (invoices, contracts, bank statements) to detect signs of money laundering, terrorism financing, tax evasion, and fraud.
– Communicate with customers and partners to gather information and validate SEPA transfers.
– Coordinate with local authorities on legal requests and criminal investigations.
– Support other teams (Onboarding, Customer Service, Banking Operations) when suspicious activity is flagged.
– Align with the Anti-Financial Crime team on case reporting to authorities.
What to expect:
– Team setup: A 9-person team (6 in Milan, 1 in Barcelona, 2 in Paris) that values collaboration and bottom-up input.
– Performance metrics: Clear KPIs with a 95% compliance goal, 60% focus on alert handling, and 40% on meetings, projects, and teamwork.
– Tools: Use advanced platforms like Forest (back-office), Metabase (analytics), SEON (fraud detection), and tools like Zendesk, Slack, and Notion.
– Market opportunity: Contribute to Qonto’s relaunch in Italy, supporting cutting-edge fintech solutions for fast-growing businesses.

About you:
– AML/CFT Knowledge: Solid understanding of anti-money laundering principles, ideally with experience in transaction monitoring or financial services.
– Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail, pattern recognition, and a passion for investigating financial crimes.
– Task Management: Skilled at handling multiple priorities, managing time well, and communicating risks effectively.
– Communication: Fluent in Italian and English, able to explain complex topics clearly and work cross-functionally.
