About the Role
The Associate Retail Coordinator, reporting to the Strategic Sourcing Manager, plays a key role in supporting our retail customers. This position manages the full order process—from receiving and reviewing orders to ensuring accurate and timely delivery. It involves coordinating inventory, procurement, and logistics while maintaining excellent communication with customers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Order Management
– Process and enter customer orders into the system
– Confirm orders and communicate any updates or discrepancies
– Keep accurate records of customer needs and delivery schedules
Supply / Inventory Planning
– Consolidate and communicate customer order needs to the supply planning team
– Monitor inventory and forecast demand with the supply planner
– Track product shelf-life and ensure timely availability of finished goods
Logistics & Tracking
– Oversee product movement to distribution centers
– Coordinate with processing and logistics teams for efficient delivery
– Monitor transportation and resolve any delivery issues
Customer Communication & Support
– Act as the main contact for customer inquiries, order updates, and issue resolution
– Provide timely updates on order and delivery status
– Handle customer concerns professionally and efficiently
Cost Tracking & Financial Maintenance
– Track raw material and production costs to ensure accurate pricing
– Monitor customer margins and support profitability efforts
– Analyze costs and margins from raw materials to final product
Promotional Planning
– Work with Sales, Marketing, and customers to plan promotional campaigns
– Align supply and procurement with promotional timelines and demand
Reporting & Analysis
– Generate reports on order trends, inventory, and delivery performance
– Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in procurement and fulfillment
Requirements
– 5+ years of experience in operations, procurement, inventory, or logistics, preferably in fresh food or meat retail
– Strong knowledge of order management, inventory, and logistics in a retail setting
– Excellent communication and customer service skills
– Highly organized with strong attention to detail
– Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP and supply chain systems experience is a plus
– Salary range: $108,000 – $118,000 per year
