Title: Junior Project Manager – AWS Cloud Migration Project
Location: Remote (U.S. – CST/EST)
Duration: 6+ months
Contract Type: Contract / Consulting
Hourly Rate: $35–$47
Work Authorization: Must be a U.S. Citizen, Green Card Holder, or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.

Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Junior Project Manager to assist with a major AWS-to-AWS cloud migration effort. This position involves coordinating the migration of VPCs between AWS accounts, managing timelines, deliverables, and communication. The Junior PM will collaborate closely with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure the project stays on schedule. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in project coordination or IT project management who wants to grow their skills in cloud infrastructure.

Primary Responsibilities:

– Assist in planning and monitoring project timelines, milestones, and deliverables related to AWS VPC migrations.
– Collaborate with cloud engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure timely task completion.
– Maintain documentation for migration plans, project updates, risks, and lessons learned.
– Support issue tracking, escalation, and resolution during migration processes.
– Lead regular project meetings, including daily stand-ups, status updates, and retrospectives.
– Ensure adherence to project governance, reporting standards, and security protocols.

Key Duties:

– Organize and lead meetings
– Manage the coordination of account migrations
– Conduct monthly executive project reviews
– Maintain clear communication among technical teams, leadership, and external partners

Required Qualifications:

– 1–3 years of experience in IT project coordination or project management (experience with infrastructure or cloud projects is a plus)
– Understanding of cloud technologies, especially AWS
– Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask with attention to detail
– Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
– Proficiency with project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Asana, MS Project, or Smartsheet
– Ability to adapt to a fast-paced consulting environment with shifting priorities

Preferred Skills:

– Familiarity with AWS networking (e.g., VPCs, gateways, firewalls, security groups)
– Experience with AWS GovCloud or regulated environments
– Certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum (or currently pursuing one)
– Previous experience supporting cloud migration, data center, or infrastructure projects
