The Business Analyst will define business and functional requirements for both new and existing IT applications, downstream systems, and reporting tools. This role also includes planning and facilitating user acceptance testing.

Key Responsibilities:

– Understand and convert business needs into clear requirements for insurance software systems.
– Create detailed documentation, including user stories, use cases, process and data flows, and report prototypes.
– Organize and lead requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations.
– Build strong partnerships with business units and support teams to understand their needs.
– Work closely with development and QA teams to provide expertise, utilize standard functionality, and help resolve issues.
– Ensure proposed solutions enhance business process efficiency and maintain consistency across products when possible.
– Assist in developing and planning User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test plans and scripts based on requirements.
– Oversee the UAT execution phase and collaborate with business leads and project managers to secure test signoff.
– Collaborate effectively with both technical and business teams.
– Achieve goals and objectives set by management.
– Take on additional tasks or projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Analysis.
– 2–4 years of experience in business analysis, including requirements documentation, functional testing, reporting tools, relational databases, and SQL.
– Programming experience is a plus.
– Experience in the insurance or benefits industry is highly desirable.
– Familiarity with Azure DevOps is a plus.
– Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus.

Salary Range:

$68,200 – $100,260 annually

Protective’s target salary range for this role is $68,200 to $100,260. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and experience. This range is just one part of Protective’s overall compensation package.
