As a Client Service Representative, you’ll be the initial contact for new Business Wire clients. Success in this role requires strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and stay organized. You’ll work closely with the sales team, newsroom, and clients to ensure a seamless experience.

Available Shift: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Eastern

Key Responsibilities:

– Respond to emails and phone calls from both prospective and current clients, addressing questions about pricing, billing, product details, and more.
– Manage membership applications, set up accounts, and transition clients to the Sales Development Representative.
– Evaluate inbound leads not related to membership or account setup and determine appropriate next steps.
– Collaborate with team members on client interactions, document activities in Salesforce, and ensure timely follow-up.
– Serve as a bridge between clients, sales, marketing, and the newsroom to meet client needs.
– Support office events and activities such as media breakfasts, client visits, and lunch-and-learn sessions.
– Stay informed on trends in public and investor relations.
– Work collaboratively to deliver exceptional customer service.
– Exceed customer expectations by understanding their business, empathizing with their challenges, and offering effective solutions.
– Take initiative, maintain a positive attitude, and build trust through genuine concern and commitment to customer satisfaction.
– Analyze issues objectively, take ownership of finding resolutions, and stay engaged until problems are resolved.
– Maintain a solid understanding of our products and services to better meet customer needs and provide informed recommendations.

Requirements:

– Prior experience delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.
– Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
– Comfortable working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
– Excellent verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with CRM systems like Salesforce is a plus.
– Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and assess the urgency and importance of assignments.
– Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent preferred; customer service experience required.
– At least one year of sales experience preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

– Base salary range: $52,000 to $57,000 annually. Final offer depends on factors such as education, experience, skills, and location. Business Wire may adjust this range as needed.
