This role involves managing billing and collections for the APAC and CIS regions, acting as the main liaison with local finance teams. You’ll be responsible for overseeing accounts receivable in these regions by directly engaging with clients. You’ll also coordinate A/R activities with offices in India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh, Cyprus, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan.
What you’ll be doing:
50% Accounts Receivable
– Set credit limits and payment terms in line with company policy.
– Keep accurate documentation to comply with audit and retention standards.
– Review aging reports monthly and follow up on outstanding balances.
– Conduct regular calls and visits to agencies and partners to track payments and maintain cash flow.
– Ensure accurate cash receipt allocation and related reporting.
– Prepare management reports on A/R status, including monthly updates and challenges.
– Generate reports such as aging analysis, bad debt reports, incentive tracking, cash forecasts, and collection updates.
– Collaborate with Ad Sales, Client Services, and other departments to resolve account issues.
50% Credit Analysis
– Assess the creditworthiness of new clients.
– Develop credit scoring models to evaluate risk.
– Approve or deny credit based on data analysis.
– Negotiate payment terms with new clients.
– Ensure compliance with internal credit and payment policies.
– Maintain detailed credit records.
– Monitor outstanding debts and identify potential bad debts.
– Review and refine the company’s credit policy as needed.
What makes you a strong candidate:
– Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
– Professional certifications like ACCA or CIMA are advantageous.
– At least 3 years of experience as a Credit Controller.
– Solid knowledge of credit control, financial analysis, and risk management.
– Strong communication and negotiation skills.
– Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
– Skilled in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
– Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities.
– Proactive and able to perform well under pressure.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
– High standards of integrity and professionalism.
