What We’re Building:

Ethena Labs is developing a range of cutting-edge products to solve major challenges and unlock new possibilities in digital finance.

Our flagship product, USDe, is a synthetic dollar backed by digital assets. It uses a delta-neutral hedging strategy to maintain its value, offering a scalable and censorship-resistant digital currency.

sUSDe builds on USDe by offering crypto-native yield from derivatives market funding rates, providing a decentralized alternative to traditional financial products.

To support institutional adoption, we’ve partnered with Securitize and BlackRock’s BUIDL fund to launch USDtb—an asset-backed stablecoin that leverages traditional financial infrastructure. Additionally, iUSDe is tailored for institutions, integrating compliance features that allow them to access crypto-native yields in a regulatory-friendly way.

Our most ambitious project, Converge, is a collaborative blockchain initiative with Securitize. This hybrid blockchain is designed to connect DeFi with the needs of centralized and traditional finance. Converge aims to become a primary platform for issuing tokenized assets, integrating with DeFi protocols to enable institutional participation in the decentralized economy.

The Role:

As an Execution Trader at Ethena, you’ll be part of a small, high-trust team responsible for managing the trading and operations of USDe’s backing assets. This includes moving collateral between custodians, using our in-house automated trading platform, and working closely with internal stakeholders. The role requires adaptability in a 24/7 market and plays a key part in the success of Ethena’s products.

What You’ll Do:

– Manage portfolios that support USDe, including spot crypto assets, derivatives, and DeFi money market deployments.
– Execute trades using proprietary algorithms, adhering to strict risk and market guidelines.
– Collaborate with the team to ensure consistent trading coverage, primarily during your local working hours (US or Asia), and occasionally beyond.
– Help prioritize and develop new features for internal trading tools.
– Monitor real-time market risks like liquidity, volatility, and counterparty exposure, and adjust positions accordingly.
– Report regularly to the Head Trader on performance, trade results, and market conditions.

What We’re Looking For:

– A senior-level trader or higher with experience in electronic or quantitative trading.
– Proven expertise in crypto markets, including perpetuals and spot trading, with hands-on experience using APIs and trading workflows on at least two of the following platforms: Binance, Bybit, OKX, Deribit, Bitget.
– Proficiency in Python for data analysis, trade evaluation, or backtesting (using tools like Pandas or NumPy).
– Strong communication and prioritization skills, essential for a fast-paced, high-integrity environment.
