As the Deputy State Director for our North Dakota team, you’ll play a key role in advancing our mission. We’re seeking a driven leader to help shape and implement a legislative and grassroots strategy aimed at reforming public policy and expanding opportunities for everyone.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

– Partner with the State Director to design and carry out strategies for legislation, grassroots advocacy, and political engagement that support AFP’s vision.
– Build and maintain partnerships with individuals and organizations that share our goals.
– Take initiative to identify and address challenges that will enhance the chapter’s effectiveness.
– Lead, mentor, and manage team members as they work to shift the public policy conversation in North Dakota.
– Work closely with both internal teams and external allies to achieve our objectives.

What You’ll Bring:

– A strong belief in bottom-up, people-focused policy solutions that limit government overreach and empower individuals to pursue their goals.
– Experience in strategic planning across areas such as policy, lobbying, legislative affairs, political engagement, and grassroots efforts.
– A proven ability to unite people and groups around shared goals.
– Confidence and skill in public speaking and advocating for liberty.
– A track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
– Success managing both short- and long-term projects with multiple stakeholders.
– Familiarity with North Dakota’s political, economic, and legislative environment.
– Willingness to travel up to 30% and a valid driver’s license.
– Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
