What You’ll Do

– Design, build, test, and deploy scalable features across both frontend and backend systems.
– Develop and maintain GraphQL and RESTful APIs that support Fullscript’s practitioner tools and integrations.
– Work with cross-functional teams to deliver new features that enhance practitioner workflows and patient outcomes.
– Take full ownership of features—from planning and implementation to deployment and maintenance.
– Participate in architectural decisions and promote clean, maintainable code.
– Review code, mentor teammates, and uphold best practices in code quality and testing.
– Rapidly iterate, test new ideas, and adapt as needed—we prioritize learning over perfection.
– Improve system performance and scalability as we expand into new wellness and lab integrations.

What You Bring

– Experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails in production environments.
– Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, or Next.js.
– Strong understanding of GraphQL (Apollo experience is a plus).
– Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
– A passion for clean code, design patterns, and testing—you write tests and know their value.
– A proven track record of ownership, initiative, and working independently.
– A bias toward action and a strategic mindset for prioritizing impactful work.
– Receptiveness to feedback and a commitment to personal growth.
– Ability to balance speed, quality, and scope in decision-making.

Bonus Points

– Experience scaling or maintaining high-traffic web applications.
– Background in health tech, wellness, or e-commerce.
