About Model N and Our Product Team

Our Product team plays a central role in this mission, working closely with customers, Sales, and cross-functional partners to shape strategy, drive innovation, and deliver impactful products to market.
We are looking for a Director of Product Marketing to join our team. This individual will lead go-to-market strategy, product messaging, launch planning, sales enablement, and competitive positioning across the Model N product suite. The Life Sciences sector is a key focus area, and this role will be instrumental in accelerating our growth and strengthening our market position. The role will also support strategic initiatives within our High Tech segment.
Key Responsibilities
Go-To-Market Strategy & Execution
– Collaborate with Product Management, Revenue Operations, and Sales Enablement to define and implement go-to-market strategies.
– Craft compelling product positioning, value propositions, and launch plans to drive adoption and business growth.
– Continuously refine messaging to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Thought Leadership, Content Creation & Campaign Support
– Develop impactful content to support demand generation, product initiatives, and brand visibility.
– Produce messaging and materials such as persona-based value frameworks, website content, webinars, case studies, and thought leadership pieces.
– Create executive-level presentations for sales, strategic planning, Customer Advisory Boards, and industry events.
Sales & Cross-Functional Enablement
– Provide Sales, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Professional Services with the tools and training needed to win new business and grow existing accounts.
– Collaborate with Customer Success to build a framework for QBRs and product release enablement.
– Ensure consistent, value-driven messaging across all customer touchpoints.
Competitive Intelligence & Market Insights
– Stay informed on industry trends and the competitive landscape.
– Deliver win/loss analysis and competitive tools to help teams differentiate Model N’s offerings.
– Use insights from analysts and industry events to shape go-to-market strategies and influence product development.
Product Launches
– Lead the execution of go-to-market plans for new product releases.
– Coordinate internal readiness, external communications, and analyst briefings.
What Success Looks Like
– Increased pipeline and improved win rates through clear, differentiated messaging.
– Enhanced customer retention and account growth through value-based enablement.
– Recognition of Model N as a thought leader in Life Sciences and High Tech.
– Successful product launches that drive adoption and revenue growth.
Qualifications & Profile
Experience: 10+ years in product marketing, including 3–5 years in enterprise SaaS. Experience in Life Sciences, High Tech, or other regulated industries is highly desirable.
Go-to-Market Leadership: Demonstrated success in launching SaaS products and developing enablement programs.
Storytelling & Communication: Skilled at turning complex solutions into compelling narratives for executives, analysts, and customer-facing teams.
Cross-Functional Influence: Ability to align and collaborate across Product, Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and leadership.
Analytical & Market-Driven: Strong skills in market research, win/loss analysis, and competitive intelligence.
Leadership: Experience mentoring team members and leading cross-functional projects.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Location & Travel
This U.S.-based role offers flexible location options, with occasional travel (10–20%) to Model N offices, customer sites, and industry events.
Compensation & Benefits
Model N offers competitive, equitable salaries based on experience, education, skills, and location. This role is eligible for bonuses or commissions, depending on its nature. Employees can also participate in our stock purchase plan.
