Lyra Health Canada is seeking a seasoned counsellor to manage call intake and serve as the initial point of contact for employees and their dependants using Lyra Health Canada services. This role includes providing immediate counselling support, including risk containment when necessary.

In this position, you will work with a wide range of issues and levels of severity, manage risk cases effectively, assess clinical needs quickly, and develop and monitor appropriate treatment plans. This is a full‑time, five‑day‑a‑week permanent role, with occasional after‑hours shifts.

Responsibilities
• Act as the first point of contact for individuals accessing EAP or mental health services via phone or online chat.
• Provide immediate, goal‑focused therapeutic support and psychoeducation.
• Conduct brief clinical assessments to determine client needs.
• Perform thorough risk assessments and implement risk management plans promptly.
• Based on assessment outcomes, identify appropriate support through the EAP, short‑term counselling, or external services such as community organizations or healthcare providers.
• Document all relevant case information accurately in the clinical database.
• Follow all clinical and operational standards, protocols, and procedures.
• Collaborate with global clinical teams.
• Coordinate with affiliate clinicians regarding appointments and case updates.
• Contribute to service development and business initiatives as needed.
• Maintain flexibility with schedule and responsibilities to meet business needs.
• Participate in governance and quality assurance activities.

Minimum required experience
Essential:
• A master’s‑level counselling qualification that meets professional standards in your Canadian jurisdiction.
• Current registration or accreditation with an appropriate professional body.

Preferred:
• Experience working with a wide array of psychological and workplace issues, including mental health concerns, trauma, stress, relationship difficulties, child‑related issues, anxiety, and substance‑related challenges.
• Experience in high‑pressure, time‑sensitive environments.
• Experience handling high‑risk cases such as suicide, abuse, and substance use.
• At least three years of post‑qualification therapeutic experience.
