The Product team at Plaid builds the infrastructure behind open finance. We drive financial empowerment by fostering innovation, ensuring reliability, and focusing on customer success. As a Product Manager at Plaid, you’ll lead the development of products that enable millions to connect, transfer, and manage their money. You’ll work closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to turn customer needs into impactful, high-quality solutions.

This role is ideal for someone early in their product management journey who is eager to learn, collaborate, and create meaningful products that enhance financial lives.

Responsibilities

– Take ownership of a product area by identifying problems, writing clear requirements, and leading cross-functional execution.
– Develop the product roadmap based on data, user feedback, and market trends.
– Partner with Engineering and Design to build intuitive, high-quality user experiences.
– Use metrics and user insights to evaluate and improve product outcomes.
– Communicate effectively, align stakeholders, and support decision-making.
– Operate with a founder’s mindset—simplify, move quickly, and embrace feedback.
– Continuously learn and contribute to raising the bar for Plaid’s products and culture.

Qualifications

– 1–4 years of experience in a product-related role (e.g., Product Manager, Associate Product Manager, startup operator, founder, or product analyst).
– Demonstrated success in building or launching products from start to finish.
– Experience working closely with engineering and design teams to deliver value quickly.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to simplify complex ideas.
– Comfortable working in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
– Familiarity with using AI tools for prototyping, research, or analysis in product work.
– Experience in early-stage or high-growth startups.
– (Preferred) Background in fintech.

Compensation

The base salary for this role ranges from $163,200 to $223,200 per year in Zone 1. The exact salary depends on the job location.

Geographic Zones:
– Zone 1: New York City and San Francisco Bay Area
– Zone 2: Los Angeles, Seattle, Washington D.C.
– Zone 3: Austin, Boston, Denver, Houston, Portland, Sacramento, San Diego
– Zone 4: Raleigh-Durham and all other U.S. cities

Additional compensation may include equity and/or commission, depending on the role. Plaid offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Compensation is based on factors such as role scope, experience, skills, and location. Pay and benefits may change in accordance with company policies.
