What’s the role?
We’re looking for a Business Continuity Lead for the EMEA region, focused on Payins. You’ll be responsible for driving our operational resilience strategy, leading incident response, and ensuring continuity planning aligns with global standards while meeting local needs.
You’ll enhance continuity for our merchants by coordinating teams, systems, and partners—including processors, acquirers, card networks, alternative payment providers, and issuers.
You’ll adapt our global Business Continuity Management System (BCMS) into regional plans (policy, BIA, RTO/RPO, testing) to reduce disruptions, shorten recovery times, and improve processor SLA performance.
You’ll deliver measurable improvements in uptime, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, and stakeholder communication across time zones.
What will you be doing?
– Lead incident response across EMEA, managing triage, escalation, containment, communication, recovery, and post-incident reviews with clear ownership and SLAs.
– Oversee regional continuity governance: maintain BIA, define and monitor RTO/RPO, conduct test exercises, share insights, and ensure ISO 22301 compliance.
– Collaborate with partners to eliminate operational barriers, ensure redundancy, and minimize impact during incidents.
– Ensure merchant continuity through go-live readiness checks, hypercare, risk controls for new payment flows, and clear escalation paths for customer support and account managers.
– Conduct root-cause analysis and documentation (e.g., in Jira), track corrective actions, and share learnings across regions.
– Monitor and report on key metrics: incident volume, resolution time, SLA adherence, traffic impact, communication timeliness, test coverage, and RCA completion.
– Lead and grow the EMEA Business Continuity team, including hiring, coaching, setting priorities, and managing performance.
– Work cross-functionally with Ops Engineering, Ops Support, Global Partners, and Global Initiatives to align fixes, automation, and standards.
– Partner with Risk, Compliance, Product, and Tech teams to integrate continuity requirements into platform development and ensure regulatory compliance.
What skills do I need?
– 6–8+ years in payments or fintech operations, with experience in business continuity and incident management.
– Strong knowledge of the payments ecosystem (processors, acquirers, card networks, APMs; credentials, routing, settlement, reconciliation).
– Proven leadership in managing incidents across time zones, with excellent stakeholder and executive communication skills.
– Familiarity with ISO 22301, BIA, RTO/RPO, PDCA, and continuity testing.
– Data-driven approach; proficiency in Excel/Sheets; experience with tools like Jira; BI/SQL is a plus.
– Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and leadership skills under pressure.
– Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
