Position Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will design and maintain modern software solutions that enhance Care Access operations, drive efficiency, and accelerate clinical research. You’ll collaborate within a skilled, cross-functional team using full-stack TypeScript to create user-friendly and impactful applications.

Key Responsibilities

– Build full-stack web applications using modern TypeScript with a functional programming approach
– Develop clean, intuitive user interfaces based on Figma designs in collaboration with product designers
– Design scalable and secure backend APIs using Node and PostgreSQL
– Engage in code reviews, mentorship, and pair programming to uphold high technical standards
– Maintain and improve codebases to reduce technical debt and ensure accurate data modeling
– Manage production systems through deployments, incident response, and infrastructure enhancements with DevOps
– Write and evaluate design documents and lead architecture discussions
– Collaborate with QA Engineers to ensure features are well-documented and testable
– Participate in Agile practices such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives

Physical and Travel Requirements
This is a remote role with less than 10% travel. Occasional planned travel may be required.

Qualifications

– Minimum of 6 years of experience in both front-end and back-end web development
– Advanced knowledge of TypeScript, React, and Node.js
– Familiarity with functional programming principles
– Experience working with relational databases like PostgreSQL
– Proficiency with cloud services such as AWS or Azure
– Ability to work independently in a remote-first environment
– Strong communication and teamwork skills

Education and Certifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
