Hours: Prefer full‑time (30–40 h/week), but strong part‑timers are welcome
Compensation: About $60k–$95k per year or $50–$70 per hour, negotiable based on skill
Why Join: Your work will safeguard 16Personalities, a platform that has already helped hundreds of millions understand themselves better.

What You’ll Do
Deliver Reliable Releases
• Create, maintain, and improve end‑to‑end tests in Cypress or Playwright for our Vue frontend and Laravel backend.
• Take ownership of the QA pipeline—pick the right blend of component, integration, contract, and smoke tests, and keep flaky tests under control.
• Perform manual exploratory testing when automation can’t cover unusual UX, tricky edge cases, or browser‑specific issues.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD through GitHub Actions, ensuring every merge and deployment is fully validated.

Promote Quality from the Start
• Participate early in feature planning to refine acceptance criteria and propose test hooks.
• Identify process gaps and suggest enhancements such as improved test data, logging, or accessibility checks.
• Help developers write basic tests so you can focus on more complex scenarios.

Keep the User Front and Center
• Validate cross‑browser behavior, mobile breakpoints, performance issues, and WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility.
• Anticipate user behavior and test the paths they are likely to take.

Types of Challenges You’ll Tackle
• Large‑scale localization—every major page is translated into 52+ languages; your tests keep layouts, content, and i18n keys stable.
• Multi‑device experience—ensure seamless interaction from low‑end phones to high‑resolution desktops.
• Personality‑based personalization—confirm that different personality types and languages receive the proper tailored content.
• Protecting Web Vitals—run automated Lighthouse and PageSpeed tests, flag regressions, and work with developers to keep performance on track.

Who You Are
If you think QA is just waiting for assigned tickets, this isn’t the role. We want someone who builds processes, takes initiative, and brings the team with them.

Must‑Haves
• 3–5+ years in QA or test automation for modern web applications
• Experience with component testing tools such as Vitest
• Strong Cypress or Playwright expertise
• Solid JavaScript/TypeScript and DOM API knowledge
• Familiarity with Laravel and Vue
• A sense of ownership—you pursue issues, not checklists
• Clear and proactive communication in English

Nice‑to‑Haves
• Visual regression testing experience (Percy, Playwright + PixelMatch, etc.)
• Performance testing experience (Lighthouse CI, k6)
• Accessibility tools such as axe‑core or pa11y
• Knowledge of Pest or PHPUnit
• Experience mentoring or guiding other developers

What We Offer
• Genuine remote flexibility—work from anywhere and build a schedule that fits your life.
• Competitive compensation—$60k–$95k salary or $50–$70 hourly, with room for exceptional candidates.
• Impact at scale—your tests protect features used by millions.
• Autonomy—you’re free to experiment, improve tooling, and strengthen test suites.
• Growth opportunities—lead QA strategy, explore DevOps, or expand backend test coverage.

How to Apply
Complete our short application form. That’s all. We review every submission. If it’s a match, you can expect:
1. A brief introductory chat on Slack about culture and expectations.
