• Build and refine processes for planning, estimating, documenting, and collaborating across teams
• Work with engineering leadership on career development, performance processes, and succession planning
• Partner with Product, Data, and Curriculum to build AI‑driven features that enhance personalization, grading, insights, and curriculum recommendations
• Guide teams in incorporating AI into existing workflows in intuitive, reliable, and meaningful ways
• Collaborate with platform and SRE teams to enhance CI/CD, observability, and cloud cost management
• Work with data engineering to design and maintain scalable, well‑structured data pipelines supporting AI and analytics
• Support secure, privacy‑focused integration of real‑time and batch data sources in alignment with education data regulations
• Align with Product and GTM leaders to prioritize initiatives based on customer needs, adoption cycles, and business objectives
• Partner with Customer Success and Support to turn field feedback into actionable improvements
• Assist GTM teams with procurement processes, privacy and security requirements, and RFO proposals

What we’re looking for:
• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading and scaling teams in SaaS
• Experience managing multiple teams across diverse product areas
• Strong background in distributed systems and cloud‑native platforms
• Experience delivering AI/ML‑enabled products, or working closely with ML/data science teams
• Knowledge of modern data pipelines, security best practices, and observability
• Ability to engage in technical discussions and advise on trade‑offs without coding daily
• Comfortable diving deep with engineers to guide technical decisions
