About the Position
Baymard Institute carries out extensive UX research and shares its insights through a custom B2B SaaS platform used by over 17,500 brands, agencies, researchers, and UX professionals in more than 80 countries—including 71% of Fortune 500 e-commerce companies. Our fully remote team of around 50 people is based across the U.S. and Europe, all dedicated to improving e-commerce user experiences.
As an Enterprise Account Manager at Baymard Institute, your main focus will be to strengthen and expand relationships with our current clients. This includes converting self-service subscribers into full Enterprise clients and increasing engagement within our existing Enterprise accounts. You’ll be responsible for identifying upsell opportunities, managing renewals, and helping clients get the most out of our research platform and services.
This is a role centered on building relationships, not transactional sales. Success depends on earning trust, understanding client objectives, and aligning their evolving needs with the right Baymard solutions—whether that’s expanded team access, custom training, or additional user research.
Key Responsibilities
– Manage and grow a portfolio of existing clients, focusing on increasing account value and ensuring long-term satisfaction.
– Identify and pursue new opportunities within the current client base, in collaboration with marketing and other teams.
– Conduct regular check-ins with clients (quarterly or semi-annually) to review value delivered, uncover new needs, and maintain engagement.
– Work closely with Baymard’s research and product teams to ensure client expectations match deliverables.
– Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
– Oversee the entire renewal process, including pricing and contract negotiations.
– Monitor account health, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to retain and grow client relationships.
– Keep accurate CRM records of account activities, communications, and opportunities.
About You
– You’re experienced in managing and growing relationships with senior stakeholders at large companies.
– You’re proactive, well-organized, and capable of handling multiple complex accounts without compromising quality.
– You prioritize long-term client success over short-term gains.
– You have a positive, solution-oriented mindset and take full ownership of your responsibilities.
– You communicate clearly and openly, and you actively seek and apply feedback.
Requirements
– 5+ years of experience in account management or client growth within B2B subscription or SaaS environments.
– Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a portfolio of complex accounts.
– Skilled at acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to clients.
– Able to collaborate effectively with internal teams and relay client feedback to improve offerings.
– Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
– Comfortable working in a fully remote, globally distributed team.
– Experience working with marketing, UX, product, or research teams is a plus.
Practical Information
– Location: Remote, full-time role based in either the U.S. or Europe. (If on the U.S. West Coast, availability from 6 AM PT is required to overlap with European teams.)
– Salary: Base salary plus commission based on sales performance.
– Start Date: As soon as possible.
– Language: Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
– Travel: Minimal—expect 1–3 weeks of travel per year, including the annual company retreat.
