Job Summary:
IER is looking for a driven and creative Entry-Level Marketing Associate to help advance our mission of supporting sound energy policy. This individual will contribute to the development and implementation of marketing strategies that highlight IER’s research, engage key audiences, and broaden our influence. This position is well-suited for someone enthusiastic about public policy, communications, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
– Content Creation: Help write and edit marketing content that aligns with IER’s goals.
– Initiative Support: Assist with marketing campaigns to promote IER’s research, events, and advocacy, including email and digital advertising.
– Development Writing: Contribute to fundraising by creating persuasive donor communications, grant proposals, and related materials.
– Event Promotion: Support the marketing of IER events such as webinars, conferences, and public talks to boost participation and visibility.
– Analytics & Reporting: Monitor and report on marketing performance metrics (e.g., website traffic, email engagement) to improve effectiveness.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
– Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Suite and Canva.
– Basic understanding of digital marketing platforms such as Google Analytics, Mailchimp, and WordPress.
– Interest in energy policy, free-market economics, and public policy advocacy.
– Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
– Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
– 0–2 years of experience in marketing or communications (internships count).
