About the Role
As a Medical Writer in Avalere Health’s Medical team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality content such as manuscripts, posters, abstracts, and slide decks. You’ll need to quickly understand complex topics in new therapeutic areas and deliver impactful materials on time and within budget.
You will be part of the Scientific Services team, the core of our Medical capability. In this role, you’ll collaborate with clients to distill complex data into meaningful insights and work with external experts to create engaging strategies and solutions that improve patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
– Research, write, and edit original, high-quality content across various formats (e.g., manuscripts, posters, abstracts, slide decks)
– Identify when collaboration is needed (e.g., with design or editorial teams) and coordinate accordingly
– Communicate professionally and confidently with clients, authors, speakers, and colleagues
– Manage multiple projects and deadlines efficiently
– Work closely with internal account teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious project delivery
About You
– Bachelor’s degree or higher in life sciences; a master’s or PhD is a plus but not required
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
– Proficient in Microsoft Office
– Skilled in conducting online and PubMed research
