Job Overview:
The Forklift Operator plays a key role in a fast-paced, lean warehouse environment. Responsibilities include receiving and storing incoming shipments, shipping orders, and restocking picking areas using a forklift or cart. The role also involves maintaining accurate inventory, monitoring cooler/freezer temperatures, and keeping the warehouse organized. Candidates must be experienced with both stand-up and sit-down forklifts, as well as RF scan guns.

Pay and Shift Details:
– 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | $18.50/hour + $1.00 shift differential, with a $0.50 raise after 90 days
– 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM | $19.00/hour + $1.00 shift differential, with a $0.50 raise after 90 days
– Overtime, including weekends, may be required

Key Responsibilities:
– Flexible availability for various shifts including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
– Efficiently load, unload, sort, and handle freight (palletized and non-palletized) using forklifts, pallet jacks, or by hand
– Primarily operate stand-up forklifts
– Use handheld mobile devices to track shipments
– Safely enter and exit trailers
– Regularly lift items up to 50 lbs.
– Secure freight using appropriate tools and materials
– Work safely in cold environments, including potentially slippery loading docks
– Perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, squatting, and kneeling
– Complete required paperwork and reports
– Follow all company safety procedures
– Work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with frequent interaction with team members and supervisors

Required Qualifications:
– Experience operating stand-up or high-low forklifts
– Minimum age of 18
– Fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking)
– Basic math proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:
– High School Diploma or GED

Physical Demands:
– Frequent use of hands for handling tools and equipment
– Regular standing, talking, and listening
– Occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
– Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
– Good vision, including depth perception and focus adjustment
– Repetitive motion tasks
– Comfortable working in varying temperatures (hot and cold)
