Founding Performance Marketing Manager – Digital Acquisition, SEO & Paid Social – Rapidly Growing DTC Skincare Brand
Authentic Ego is a modern skincare brand revolutionizing care for adult and hormonal acne-prone skin. Founded by two women with expertise in branding, marketing, and formulation science, we are science-driven and mission-focused—blending cutting-edge acne research, R&D-based formulas, and a fresh cultural approach to how skincare is marketed, used, and trusted.
Since our launch in late 2023, we’ve seen rapid growth, gained early support from creators and scientists, and are now preparing for our Series A funding round.
We’re building a game-changing brand and are looking for a Founding Performance Marketing Manager to lead and grow our paid advertising, digital acquisition, and SEO strategies for both search and AI.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone experienced in launching and managing digital acquisition campaigns across platforms. You’ll collaborate directly with our Founders to build and manage our acquisition funnel, Google and Meta Ads, SEO strategy, and performance analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
– Launch and scale Meta ad campaigns—create custom and lookalike audiences, set up conversion tracking, and use data to drive creative testing cycles.
– Manage Google Ads—handle campaign setup, keyword targeting, A/B testing, and bidding strategies; optimize for ROAS, CPA, and conversions.
– Develop and execute SEO strategy—conduct technical audits, on-page optimization, and keyword research; monitor traffic, rankings, and issues using Search Console.
– Oversee analytics and reporting—manage GA4, Meta and TikTok pixels, and Google Ads tracking; build dashboards using Looker or similar tools; track CAC, LTV, and funnel performance.
– Optimize conversion rates—run landing page tests, analyze heatmaps, and recommend site/product page improvements based on user behavior.
Skills & Experience:
– 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Ads and Meta Ads.
– Proficient in GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
– Familiar with Shopify or similar e-commerce platforms.
– Strong analytical skills; comfortable using Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, performance modeling).
– Experience with SEO tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.
– Solid understanding of ad reporting and attribution tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Triple Whale, Northbeam).
– Passionate about skincare, beauty, and women’s health.

– Monthly pay plus equity in the company. As a pre-Series A startup, we offer partial ownership alongside a modest starting salary.
– Part-time initially; flexible hours that can grow with the company.
– Full-time salary and benefits available post-Series A funding.

Compensation: $400–$600 per month to start, based on hours, with potential to grow.
Initial Time Commitment: 6–8 hours per week.
We operate in EST, so occasional availability for meetings or virtual chats during EST hours (ending by 9:30 PM EST) is required.
