The Analyst/Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely financial reports, consolidating actuals and forecasts, and supporting financial analysis across the organization. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, excels in financial modeling, and communicates effectively across teams. This position reports to the Senior Vice President of FP&A and collaborates closely with Accounting, Operations, and other functional leaders.
Note: This is a hybrid role based in our Toronto head office at 351 King St E. The successful candidate will work onsite three days a week—Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
What You’ll Do:
Reporting & Analysis:
– Help prepare and distribute regular financial reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) for senior leadership and private equity stakeholders.
– Conduct variance analysis comparing budget, forecast, and previous periods.
– Assist in creating executive dashboards and presentations.
Forecasting & Consolidation:
– Support the consolidation of actuals and development of both short- and long-term forecasts in collaboration with revenue operations and business unit leaders.
– Ensure data consistency and accuracy across various sources.
– Help build and maintain forecasting models for rolling forecasts and scenario planning.
Business Partnering:
– Work with FP&A, Accounting, and Revenue Operations teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and align financial information.
– Provide ad-hoc analysis and financial modeling to support strategic decisions.
Process Improvement:
– Partner with the Business Intelligence team and others to automate and streamline reporting processes.
– Document and standardize financial procedures where applicable.
What You’ll Bring:
– A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
– 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or similar roles.
– Experience in a global or multi-entity organization, preferably in SaaS.
– Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
– Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large, complex datasets.
– Familiarity with Netsuite and Salesforce is a plus.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
– Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
– A self-starter with a collaborative approach and a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.
– Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
– Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
– CPA or CFA designation (or in progress) is an asset.
