Join us as Head of Legal Product & AI and help shape the future of financial services. In this role, you’ll lead the legal framework for our products and spearhead AI innovation within the legal function.
You’ll work closely with Alexia, our VP Legal, who has a decade of international law firm experience and built Qonto’s legal team from the ground up into a 20-person department across Europe.
As Head of Legal Product & AI, your responsibilities will include:
– Developing and maintaining legal frameworks for current and future financial products (Payments, Financial Tools, Credit, etc.)
– Negotiating strong contracts with product partners
– Leading AI implementation within the legal team, across Qonto, and in our product, while establishing best practices and governance
– Promoting legal tech solutions across the company
– Ensuring legal compliance across all European markets
– Collaborating with product, tech, operations, and regulatory teams to provide legal guidance
– Integrating legal compliance into product workflows and partner agreements
What to expect:
– Team: Work with a small team (2 Legal Counsels and 1 intern) to deliver strategic projects
– Collaboration: Engage closely with the Product team to ensure compliance without hindering innovation
– Tools: Use advanced legal tech and AI tools to improve efficiency
– Leadership: Be part of Qonto’s extended leadership team
About your manager:
Alexia Delahousse, VP Legal, has 10 years of experience in international law firms (Paris, Tokyo, London), specializing in Corporate M&A. She built Qonto’s legal team and is passionate about developing talent and scaling legal functions.
What we’re looking for:
– Fintech Experience: Strong background in fintech or payments, with a solid understanding of legal frameworks for financial products
– AI Knowledge: Experience implementing or managing AI solutions in legal settings
– Legal Product Expertise: Proven ability to draft and manage terms for financial products, especially credit-related services
– Strategic Mindset: Ability to align business goals with legal compliance across jurisdictions
– Leadership: Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and fostering collaboration between legal and product teams
– Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in French, Italian, German, or Spanish is a plus
