The Business Analyst serves as a key resource across multiple teams, delivering insights and actionable data to support all operational areas at Protective. This role focuses on data analysis through reporting, optimizing existing tools, and adopting new technologies. The analyst will work across systems to create a comprehensive narrative from both the customer and employee viewpoints. Success in this position depends on the ability to clearly communicate these insights in a way that drives business decisions. A strong understanding of current business processes, technologies, and areas for improvement is essential.

The internal job title for this role is Analyst II, Business Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

– Collect, evaluate, and interpret business data, including KPIs and other critical metrics, using data analytics tools.
– Communicate effectively and influence stakeholders to support strategies, process enhancements, and operational decisions.
– Share performance insights with leadership based on key metrics.
– Create and deliver reports using PowerBI and SSRS, with a focus on how the data will be used.
– Assist with the integration and implementation of new technologies.
– Demonstrate creativity and problem-solving skills.
– Apply data modeling techniques to improve organizational efficiency.
– Collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
– Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications and Skills:

– Bachelor’s degree required.
– Strong analytical mindset, curiosity about data, and keen attention to detail.
– Ability to identify trends and communicate insights across departments.
– Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) preferred.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
– Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau.
– Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
– Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this role is $62,000 to $85,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and experience. This range is part of Protective’s overall compensation package.
