At Octopus Energy Group, we’re building a lean and effective Cyber and Information Security team. We’re seeking driven, knowledgeable, and experienced InfoSec Analysts to help us grow securely and responsibly.

You’ll play a vital role in defining what security looks like at Octopus Energy Group. This team will deliver top-tier support to our colleagues, solve problems through innovation, and drive transformational change across the organisation.

Your main focus will be supporting Octopus Energy Group services, while also collaborating with our subsidiaries to enhance our capabilities and develop innovative solutions to business challenges.

We’re specifically looking for InfoSec Analysts with at least 2 years of relevant experience to help strengthen security across the group.

What you’ll do:

– Maintain and improve our Information Security Management System (ISMS), including policies, standards, and procedures
– Help develop our security assurance function
– Conduct security risk and maturity assessments across the group
– Promote a strong security culture through training and awareness initiatives
– Support the implementation of security processes and requirements
– Provide security guidance to technical teams
– Work with stakeholders to address security issues and recommend improvements
– Assist with audit and compliance automation to support scalable growth
– Collaborate with the wider Security team to shape our security strategy
– Stay informed on emerging security trends and help the business manage associated risks

This is a dynamic role in a growing team, offering opportunities to contribute to various security projects. We encourage you to explore new challenges aligned with your skills and collaborate across teams to enhance security across the organisation.

What you’ll bring:

– A genuine passion for security and a desire to improve systems through technology
– Experience or knowledge in automating GRC and security processes to reduce manual work
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate risks
– A solid understanding of information security principles and the ability to explain them clearly to non-experts
– Experience creating or supporting security awareness programs in diverse business settings
– Familiarity with industry and regulatory standards like ISO 27001, SOC2, and GDPR

We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything—experience in some of these areas is great!

What’s a plus:

– Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, etc.)
– Security-related qualifications (e.g., degrees, apprenticeships)
– Experience in organisations with ISO 27001 or SOC 1/SOC 2 certifications
– Broader tech knowledge, especially with AWS or other cloud providers
– A technical background or education
