Inside Sales Representative (ISR)
The Inside Sales Representative at PTR is a personable, persuasive professional who helps manage the sales process. Supporting our Territory Managers, this role involves prospecting, cross-selling, and coordinating with internal departments to meet sales goals. As the primary point of contact for customers, the ISR helps guide rental decisions, resolves issues, and ensures a smooth experience. This position is ideal for someone eager to grow in sales, with a clear path toward becoming a Territory Sales Manager. We’re looking for individuals who are results-driven, relationship-focused, and proactive about learning and development. High-performing ISRs will receive mentorship, training, and opportunities for advancement.
Compensation
This role offers a competitive base salary of $50,000 per year, with uncapped commissions. On-target earnings (OTE) are approximately $85,000 annually.
Responsibilities
– Deliver excellent customer service and respond quickly in a fast-paced sales environment
– Build a strong pipeline by qualifying leads through strategic prospecting
– Creatively engage potential customers and communicate PTR’s value
– Support Territory Managers with scheduling, trade shows, and customer onboarding
– Set appointments and conduct in-person meetings with prospects
– Provide accurate quotes and follow up promptly
– Assist new customers through the credit process
– Coordinate with internal teams to manage rental logistics
– Identify and arrange equipment swaps based on de-fleeting criteria
– Use sales tools to manage and analyze data across multiple projects
– Help develop a new multi-state territory
Requirements
Must Have:
– 2+ years of experience in strategic prospecting or sales/account management, or equivalent education/experience
– Tech-savvy approach to sales
– Strong skills in prospecting, follow-up, and closing deals
– Ownership of the sales process and a focus on results
– Comfortable in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
– Proactive in building new customer relationships and handling objections
– Clear and effective communication skills
– Proficiency in CRM and sales tracking tools
– A hunter’s mindset—driven to pursue new business and generate leads
– Experience using LinkedIn, competitor research, and tools like Apollo or LinkedIn Sales Navigator
– Collaborate closely with Territory Managers to align on strategy and growth
– Meet and exceed KPIs related to revenue and conversion
– Support long-term customer relationships and territory development
– Remote position with occasional travel for trade shows and sales meetings
Nice to Have:
– Experience in rental or sales within the industry
– Familiarity with Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Power BI, MS Dynamics, ChatGPT
– Established industry relationships
– Willingness to relocate for a future Territory Manager role
