Why is this role so important to us?
To support the development of the Learning & Development (L&D) function at Pennylane, we are looking for an L&D Manager to join our People team.
Reporting to our Head of HR Development, you will work both strategically and operationally to design, implement, and continuously improve an outstanding learning experience.
You will co-develop training programs and be responsible for executing the training plan to enhance performance and support Pennylane’s growth.
You’ll use employee personas to place L&D at the heart of the employee experience, working closely with HRBPs, managers, and internal experts.
How will you contribute to the project?
Your responsibilities will include:
Skills Development Plan: From Design to Deployment
– Participate in COMEX/ELT discussions to develop a training plan aligned with business strategy
– Analyze needs identified during annual performance reviews to refine the plan
– Build and execute communication plans to raise awareness, boost adoption, and increase session attendance
– Schedule sessions and manage logistics end-to-end
– Handle ongoing individual and group training requests and adjust the plan accordingly
– Produce quarterly L&D reports (potentially in collaboration with our HR Data Analyst, Axèle)
Program Design and Management
– Co-create learning paths by persona and design ad hoc initiatives for each business unit based on priorities
– Maintain and expand the training catalog, regularly updating content
– Independently design and deliver soft skills programs
– Co-design hard skills/specialized programs with managers or internal experts
Managing the Internal Pennylane Academy
– Integrate the platform into regular training workflows and promote consistent use
– Provide recommendations to maximize platform usage
Enhancing Internal Training
– Build and lead the community of internal Pennylane trainers
– Propose and implement mechanisms to facilitate internal knowledge sharing and communities of practice
– In close partnership with HRBPs, identify and monitor internal training initiatives and provide support for centralized measurement
The Profile We’re Looking For
– At least 5 years of experience in an L&D role, combining strategic thinking and operational responsibilities
– Broad expertise in L&D: needs analysis, learning path design, facilitation, vendor management, learning platforms, and KPI tracking
– Proven ability to analyze performance review results and translate them into actionable learning plans
– Strong program and stakeholder management skills, with a business mindset for effective collaboration with managers
– Excellent communication skills in both French and English, with the ability to write clear and impactful internal communications
