MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Team Coordination:
– Manage a team of linguists, including recruitment, training, task assignment, and performance evaluation.
– Track and ensure achievement of KPIs for both self and team.
– Identify training needs and develop, maintain, and deliver training programs.
– Provide coaching and mentoring to linguists.
– Review translations, provide feedback, and communicate third-party or client feedback.
– Assist linguists in understanding corrections and support arbitration processes.
– Address linguists’ production-related questions and escalate issues to Welocalize when needed.
– Serve as the point of contact for terminology, style, and product-related queries for assigned accounts.
– Investigate root causes of issues and implement improvement actions.
– Assist with onboarding new teams when necessary.
– Identify and resolve workload or workflow challenges, proposing solutions to Welocalize.
– Support company initiatives like internships and talent development programs.

Quality Management:
– Collaborate with the Quality Department to monitor and plan for linguistic quality on assigned accounts.
– Help define and meet quality standards per language.
– Assist in root cause analysis and corrective action planning in response to client concerns.
– Oversee language-level quality through KPI tracking and reporting.
– Identify challenging content or underperforming linguists and recommend adjustments.
– Communicate translator preferences and flag performance concerns to the Quality team.

Client Engagement:
– Represent the language team in client meetings to discuss quality, strategy, and feedback.
– Document client meetings and ensure alignment across the linguistic team.
– Ensure client feedback is implemented.
– Conduct direct reviews with subject matter experts when needed.

Linguistic Production:
– Perform translation and review tasks as needed.
– Maintain linguistic assets, translation memories, and client documentation.
– Share asset updates with the linguistic team.
– Evaluate test translations of potential candidates.
– Conduct linguistic quality assessments as required.
– Participate in arbitration processes.

Requirements:
– Experienced linguist with a strong background in translation and review across various content types.
– Native proficiency in Malayalam.
– Fluent in English.
– Strong leadership and team management skills.
