As the Team Lead for Onboarding and HR Operations (SG-Grade Vertical), you will oversee the onboarding of new hires, ensuring a smooth, organized, and positive start at Paytm. You will manage the complete onboarding lifecycle—from first-day induction to the closure of all formalities—and guide a small HR operations team to deliver consistent, compliant processes.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Leading the onboarding and HR operations team for the SG-grade verticals by assigning tasks, tracking performance, and ensuring quality and SLA adherence.
• Greeting and guiding new employees on their first day, providing an introduction to the company, its culture, the office, and key teams.
• Conducting and coordinating orientation sessions during the first day, week, or month, covering policies, values, processes, and compliance requirements.
• Managing all joining formalities such as document collection, contracts, policy acknowledgments, background verification, paperwork, digital submissions, and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Maintaining accurate employee records in both physical and digital formats and ensuring data accuracy in HR systems and trackers.
• Coordinating with internal teams such as IT, Payroll, Hiring Managers, and Admin to ensure smooth onboarding, including system access, payroll setup, and workspace arrangement.
• Tracking onboarding milestones, monitoring pending tasks, and sharing progress updates or reports with HR leadership.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for new hires during their initial weeks for any onboarding-related queries.
• Continuously improving onboarding processes by suggesting enhancements, updating orientation materials, and implementing best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:
• MBA in Human Resources is required.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in HR operations, onboarding, HR coordination, or generalist roles, preferably with some leadership exposure.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in presenting to new hires and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to organize, manage teams, coordinate activities, and ensure timely execution.
• Solid understanding of HR processes, onboarding, employee lifecycle, compliance, and employment documentation; knowledge of local labor laws is an advantage.
• Proficiency with HRIS or onboarding tools and MS Office or Google Workspace.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and process orientation.
• Comfort with a 6‑day work schedule when required.
• Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
• A people-focused, service-oriented approach that ensures new employees feel supported and welcomed.
