Responsibilities:

– Design mechanical systems for industrial automated production equipment.
– Ensure designs meet specifications outlined in requirement documents and functional needs of the machines.
– Comply with EU Machinery Directive standards.
– Develop moving mechanisms and automated systems, with a focus on packaging automation, using SolidWorks for 3D modeling, sheet metal, and weldment design.
– Manage integration and upkeep of pneumatic systems, especially those using Festo components, to ensure peak performance in automation processes.
– Design and implement linear and rotary motion and indexing systems for industrial automation.

Requirements:

– Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc. or M.Sc.).
– Experience and knowledge in pneumatics, particularly with Festo equipment.
– Proficient in designing moving mechanisms.
– Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing automated industrial manufacturing machines, with a focus on packaging automation.
– Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks (required), including modeling of machined parts, sheet metal, and weldments.
– Experience with linear motion systems driven by servo and pneumatic actuators.
– Familiarity with linear and rotary indexing machinery.
– Understanding of EU Machinery Directive safety standards.
– Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.
– Strong motivation and work ethic.

Preferred Qualifications:

– Experience using PDM systems.
– Background in specific areas such as case packers, palletizing, carton packaging (e.g., yogurt containers), packing, and filling machinery.
