Your future responsibilities:
– Review, allocate, and post incoming invoices and credit notes
– Prepare and execute weekly payment runs
– Maintain vendor master data and resolve outstanding items and discrepancies in close collaboration with suppliers and internal departments
– Perform regular account reconciliations and help resolve inconsistencies
– Ensure compliance with relevant guidelines and legal requirements (e.g. GoB, commercial, tax, and corporate law) as well as accounting standards under HGB and IFRS
– Support the preparation of annual financial statements and assist with internal and external audits
– Contribute to monthly closings in accordance with IFRS
– Work closely with colleagues in the UK and other countries to establish shared standards and processes across the group
– Actively participate in the development and optimization of our accounting processes and help strengthen our internal control system
Your background:
– A degree in business administration or a comparable commercial qualification (e.g. tax clerk)
– Several years of practical experience in accounts payable or general accounting, ideally in a manufacturing company or skilled trade business
– Solid knowledge of HGB, VAT law, and basic understanding of IFRS
– Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel; experience with ERP systems (e.g. NetSuite/Oracle) is a plus
– Openness to new technologies and an interest in making processes more efficient and digital
– A team-oriented, solution-driven approach and a passion for sharing knowledge with colleagues
– Enthusiasm for the energy transition and a strong interest in sustainability
– Excellent written and spoken German and English skills
